About one year ago in May 2019 I spent several days in New York, where I did some sampling in different places all over the city. Unfortunately I didn't bring my actual fieldrecorder, why I had to rely solely on my phone. The original purpose of these recordings was to edit and randomly play them in loop during an exhibition. Since the exhibition won't be happening soon, I now used the material to make three arrangements. The idea was to only use recorded material with no extra sounds added. For me it was a pleasant and unusual experience listening back to these places full of people, especially in times of spatial distancing.
